Harold Steinbaum, DO practiced for many years
as a primary care physician in solo practice in Westbury,
NY. He treated patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics
and performed and interpreted EKGs, chest and extremity x-rays,
venipuncture and lab work. His practice also included minor
office surgery, urgent care and gynecological and breast examinations.
On Long Island, Dr. Steinbaum was affiliated as a full attending
at Winthrop University Hospital, a hospital associated with
SUNY-Stonybrook Medical School. During his tenure there, he
was actively involved with teaching residents. He discussed
his patients’ needs in all areas of the hospital and
outpatient care including emergency room, nursery, intensive
care unit, discharge planning, home health care and hospice
and coordinated specialty treatment and taught residents about
the importance of a team approach to providing quality health
care.
Dr. Steinbaum decided to move to South Florida in order
to be closer to his children. In 1997, he sat for a three-day
nationally administered State board exam in order to obtain
a Florida license. Dr. Steinbaum is Board Certified in Family
Practice and fully updated in continuing medical education.
Since arriving in Miami, Dr. Steinbaum has practiced with
Baptist-SMH Hospital Systems in two of the Urgent Care Centers
as well as an Occupational Medical Center. Dr. Steinbaum is
often called upon to provide a records review of potential
medical malpractice cases as well assistance and attendance
at depositions of Defendant physicians and experts. |
